One Single Impression prompt #37 ~ Paradox
~
Looking from the outside to inner realms ~
The paradox of a window on reality is
The window holds one reality
Inside
And returns the other reality
Outside
~
Sometimes
The outer reality
Blinds
Erases
The inner one
Even though
We know
Somewhere
It is there
~
Looking from the inside to outer realms ~
There is a sense of
A cut
Edited
Film strip ~
Framed reality
~
And yet
From certain perspectives
The window on reality
Holds
Transposes
Fragmented illusions of both
Together
~

~
NOTE: The essence of a paradox is when there is a tension between two opposite concepts, which are never uniquely complete but create the illusion of co-existence and generate the belief in a whole new bristly meaning.

A very precious perception.
Well done! Thanks, Gemma.
..not in the melancholic sense, but almost a tragedy of cognizance, the paradox of inner & outer realities, edited or otherwise..beautiful post..many thanks (read ur last post as well
which was nice)..
This is a paradox I especially enjoy - I love reflections, glass, water, anything! You wrote about it beautifullly.
Dear Gemma--
How 'reflective'!
Really liked how your words drew us into the meaning--
Thank you--
Outer reality..
Like it.
blank page soaked
wow! using windows to reflect this prompt is such a creative & intriguing idea
Gemma, you have very nicely stated the paradox here.
And the real winner is? The inside reality is actuality, the outside reality is mearly a reflection. Yes, sometimes one will block out the other completely (a mirror)(a very bright light inside).
Did you ever wonder what was behind a mirror?
..
You've got paradox down! I enjoyed your photos and the poem-very insightful.
A creative and reflective paradox. Well done!
This works perfectly!
