Llama Drama

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Llamas at Red Hill, Mornington Peninsula
~
PhotoStory Friday prompt
~

For a long time
I have wanted
A pic of
Llamas ~
Especially the beautiful llamas at
Red Hill
~
Finally
I noticed
They had wandered down
Their hillside property
Fairly close to their fence ~
I had a chance
~
I begged the streets to
Get close ~
Closer
~
At last
As rain began to fall
Yet again
I found
A muddy spot
Parked the car
At some odd angle
Dived out and
Sank deeper and deeper in
Mud
~
Every excited step
Shook and shook with
Cold ~
But I wanted that pic ~
Won't the camera zoom in further?
I'm frozen
So frozen ~
The rain will tumble
Any minute
Must get that pic
Any pic of llamas
~
CLICK!
~
Squelching "run" to the car
And a peek at my prize!
There!
I think you can tell they are llamas!
They look so nonchalant
So peaceful!
And they didn't even notice me!
Sighhhh

Lighthouse Mania

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ McCrae lighthouse, Mornington Peninsula

Photo Story prompt
~

A wet, cold, early Saturday morning is
NOT
The best time to decide to wander
Armed with a camera
~
But then
There are those who are
Stubborn
Crazy
Desperate to collect
More pics
Somewhere
Anywhere
~
And I love lighthouses
~
McCrae lighthouse is
A lonely
Unlit

Abandoned
Light
Standing a little forlornly
Right beside a coastal highway
Right beside a yacht club
Right beside a very muddy track to
The glories of wet
Sticky sand
~
So I took the chicken way out
And snapped my pics
From the safety of
A very empty
Sealed
Road
~

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Light BY the lighthouse
~
And not even
The grey of chilled early morning could
Dampen my warped sense of humour ~
A light BESIDE the lighthouse?

Scenic Sunday Morning

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Sunday morning at Dromana Hub carpark

Photostory Friday prompt

~
Nothing really scenic in this image?
Hmmmmmmmmm
~
No sunlight
No clear skies
A little rain
A few puddles
All easy to see in
Panoramic,
Empty
Space of
No cars
No people
No wayward shopping trolleys
No traffic in the background
~
No haste
No pressure
No waiting
~
Aaaaaahhh
A glorious scene made in
Sunday morning heaven

Tied to the Waiting Post

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ This little guy was waiting at Dromana Hub Shopping Centre, Mornington Peninsula. His owner was nowhere in sight. The day was cold and bleak and drizzly, so his owner had tied him up just inside the first set of automatic sliding glass doors. When I first went in to do my shopping I saw him there on the seat with head between his paws. I could not take a pic because he was really upsetting me. On my return, he was sitting up like this watching intently. I could cope with this pose, so out came the camera that always travels with me. And voila! I so wish he was mine!
