Sign on the wall of St Paul's Cathedral opposite Federation Square in Melbourne.
At the time I took this photo last Sunday morning,
the carillon was playing, making the moment more poignant.
Outside the British Isles, St Paul's has one of the few peals of 13 bells.
St Paul's Cathedral is built on the site
where the first public Christian service in Melbourne was conducted in 1835.
in some ways

A heart wrenching sign, but a wonderful capture, Gemma! Hope your week is going well!
Sadly, the welcoming of refugees is a problem almost everywhere - yet, we are many of us descendants from refugees of some sort.
It is sad that there are refuges, and also sad that such a sign is needed.
Yes, we are. I love this, Gemma. Such a touching photo.
We ARE all refugees in the sense you write of and (unless we are Aboriginal in your country or Native American Indian here in the US), we are all descended from refugees in the other sense. I just can't figure out why so many people have so much trouble understanding that. Good for St Paul's.
What a poignant sigh. It really pulls at the heartstrings as do your words. genie
Sad that we must be reminded to be kind and welcoming and to show/share love.
Visiting from Signs,

a brilliant magnanimous sign!
I was trying to think of a word - but Genie said it best. It is a poignant sign. I cannot imagine the desperation these people have gone through - and go through - to get to their new, strange land.
