I was aiming for the palm shadows on the old Dromana shire council walls.
Then into the focus arrived this bike rider.
Not an advisable way to ride "hands free"!
But it added some character to the photo!
A free riding soul
Little thought for being safe
Trusting on instinct

Hi Gem,
Seems you're still have an awesome weather Dowunder, infact it's Autumn. It feels our summer moved to OZland, huh? We still have a very cool weather and it isn't funny when the cold winter months prolonged.
Hope you had a great Sat and a blessed Sun to come.

What an unexpected treat to have the rider come in to your shot! Love the palm shadows too.
trusting on instinct indeed. i, as a child, thought i could close my eyes while riding my bike. yes, i ran into a tree!! oh the crazy mind of a child!! namaste gemma!!
Perfect! And I agree with Paula, an unexpected treat indeed! It does make you wonder what they're thinking, but at that age, you're the conqueror of the world -- on the bike or off, with hands or without! Love the palm tree shadow! Hope your weekend is going well, Gemma!

I hope the rider, hands free, is watching the road and not the shadow. If he doesn't pay attention, the kerb is sure to collide with the rider! tHe shadow and rider shows a scene both still and in motion-so cool!
Glad you decided not to take another shot! Love the haiku...perfect!! Happy SSS Gemma!
That's a brave hands-free rider! Love the gentle shadows in the background.
The palms look as relaxed as the rider. Great combinaton really!
Beautiful shadows. It brings a wonderful softness to your photo.
Looks the the rider is deep in thought. :)
a lovely bit of serendipity to have the cyclist turn up!
Perfect timing! Nice image.
A lovely image Gemma... many thanks for sharing.
at least the biker was not talking in a cellphone. But he did ad to your shot. :)
Gemma...Tis is such a lovely shadow even with the biker crashing the sight. I do not know how people ride with gripping the handlebars. I would fall over immediately. That was was the perfect place for the shadows to pop out their heads. genie
Love the shot and your haiku! As always!
Shadows with a biker, good combination! :)
