Shifting Sands

At one end of Dromana beach, the sandbank is collapsing and some boatsheds are at risk of slipping toward the sea.
Rocks have been introduced to support the bank.

ah, the iconic boatsheds on the shore of port philip bay, just lovely

we have a couple here, but they are all surrounded by trees, so harder to catch on film...but perhaps you've inspired me to go and give it a try ;)

Love your photo Gemma. I have always liked colourful boat sheds. Being so close to moving water is bunt to have it's problems. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away . . .

I like the rows of boathouses. And yes it looks like some are too close to the water. Happy weeekend!

Beach erosian causes havoc on our East coast, whole villages have disappeared over the years. Very colourful photo, I suppose the boat houses will have to be moved further up the beach pretty soon, or disappear altogether.
