Great picture -- but I probably would have fallen on my face while looking at them -- they look like moving stairs.

Geometry pay the major part on this artistic view. Naturally as it has been said, watch the steps - not the shadows!

Terrific shadow shot, but like the others, I would have to really watch my step!! Love your composition, Gemma! Hope your weekend is going well!

The shadows make a little trail--a trail that will disappear as the sunlight fades...

SING A SONG OF SHADOWS

Sing a song of shadows
Taller than a tree!
Sing a song of shadows
Wider than the sea!
Sing a song of shadows
Dancing in the sun!
Sing a song of shadows—
Day is almost done!

They ARE markers, leading the way! I like this a lot!

Wonderful Gemma! I bet those shadows lead to a lovely area. A Sunday stroll along the boardwalk sounds good to me!

Re BLOGitse blog and unable to comment: I also have the same issues so you're not alone. The blog takes forever to load for me and when I hit submit after writing a comment it doesn't appear to take (yet sometimes it has worked when I've gone back to try again and have seen my previous comment there). I'm guessing there is something on the blog (some kind of widget/add on) that the browswers we use don't support maybe? It's all I can think of. If I'm able to leave a comment over there this week I'll let BLOGitse know you've been trying to leave comments but are also having trouble :)

The railing on these stairs make very interesting shadows!

Hi Gemma, just read Tracy's comment about BLOGitse's site. I've emailed her in the past about that issue. it's the same for me whenever I try to leave a comment. very frustrating, hope it gets fixed. back to your shadows - I love this photo. for the lines, shadows, and suggestion of being led somewhere. nice hues in this photo too. I hope you're having a great weekend Gemma!

I too have been having issues, it has taken nearly 20 minutes to get a comment to you...but I'm determined to get through!!!

Glad to hear you are getting to your beloved beach, for some reason the shores of the Mighty Miss aren't that appealing, however, while I was waiting for your site to download I ran over by the river and there were 2 sailboats heading out of the harbor. Yesterday I said to myself, if I had a sailboat, it sure wouldn't be sitting in the harbor, it'd have me living in it most of the summer...right!!!

Hope all went well with your shoulder, now to my drama of the broken finger on my right hand...ARGH!!! It doesn't really hurt unless I bump it, which means I bump it all the time cause it's my right hand, but, it is what it is...just don't shut your fingers in any drawers...K...

I should be getting eggs any day now, the poor hens are feeling the wrath of the roos, they just won't leave them alone...it's the birds and the bees huh!!!

Soon as I get my tomatoes canned, me and the heathen are out the door for our Sunday drive...we both need the break...I mean time out, don't want to say 'that' word to either one of us...take care little sister, thinkin' 'boutcha bunches!!! Ginormous hugs from Iowa!!!
