A feature in my lounge room.
The books are a kind of sculpture.
And the silver is a tad dusty!
But I love them!

I love that corner! And that's the kind of places we had and loved when we had a big (relatively) house... there's no room for that kind of thing in our tiny spaces now, it just looks like clutter. Tradeoffs!
i love seeing your tea set again...it's just like mine!! beautiful shadow gemma!!!
The light in this photo is so invitingly mysterious! I wonder what's lurking in the shadows...
TALKING SHADOWS?
Imagine a shadow could talk
In whisper or rumble or squawk;
Just what would it say
To make you go, “Hey!
You’re just a chip off the old block!”?

Shadows abound here and here
Oh, yes! A perfect corner! Love the tea set and the books! Wonderful shadow shot for the day, Gemma, and you always have the perfect works to match! Hope your weekend is going well! Enjoy!
Sylvia
What a nice spot, love your display and the shadows.
The books seem arranged haphazardly. Yet the silver tea set seems to balance the pile of tomes. I know that nothing was actually going to topple over - however, it is the illusion of chaos that makes this shot so fun!
What a perfectly delightful display. And how mysterious - no titles on the books, and what's hiding in the shadows?
What an interesting corner! The teapot reminds me of Beauty and the Beast!
Hope you are having a wonderfulweekend!
What a lovely composition for a sculpture! So inviting and two wonderful things that go well together. Tea and reading.
This IS a sculpture, what a good idea.
Have a good week ahead!
Wonderful composition and light.
Regards!
Oooh I like mysteries! And I'm totally fine with dust. Plenty of it in my house :) Gorgeous photo Gemma. Have a great week ahead!
I love the setting and the photo. Looks like items that would be in demand in a propmasters kit in Hollywood, especially the dust! Good work in photo and words.
Peace
Boy, we are quite the nesters aren't we, adding our special touches here and there, but that's what we're all about, making our homes fun and comfortable for our family...AND OUR PIECE OF MIND(what's left of it)and who cares about a little dust anyway...as I was taking a break last night sitting on the sofa, I noticed a tiny cobweb embellishing a candle and an old book, sure hope it's there this afternoon when the sun comes 'round this end of the house, would make a great shadow shot...ha!
Bummer about your shoulder being frozen, be glad you aren't in my neighborhood, once the cold weather sets in the pain gets even worse...or maybe that's just old age settin' in...LOL!
Very hot again today, got my new tiller in the mail,FINALLY... but now it's too hot to work in the garden...GEESH!!! I'll wait till late this afternoon when it's shaded somewhat, it's always feast or famine, but I'm sure you're very familiar with drought down under...crazy weather huh!
Anyway, have a wonderful part time week at school, take it easy and breathe deep, especially by the sea!
My bestest hugs dear friend!!!
Love that teaset! ...and the shadows on the lace are just lovely!
Beautiful shadowy photos!
My shadows, hope you can visit and see. Have a great week ahead!
Lovely light in your shadow pic, those books look like the ones from Ishka that you can hide things in! Have a great week Gemma.
That's a beautiful arrangement. I have a tea set exactly the same. The shadows do make it all look mysterious.
