Scarecrows Are Coming!

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ The Scarecrow Festival sign currently seen all round the Mornington Peninsula.
It is time for those crazy figures to decorate the roadside.
With all the rainy weather, they seem slow to appear.
But I found two today which will be posted later on my blog.

A fun Haiku!
I'm really looking forward to seeing what you found.
I remember Tom Wigley from the old Skywatch used to love scarecrows and asked pics to be sent to him. :)

A scarecrow is scary only to crows (I hope). But not me, as a whimsical being full of straw is understated fun, a disarming thins that elicits a smile by myself and all others who may stumble upon it. That will make 31 days of mirth for all!

That sounds like fun - we have had scarecrow contests to see who could make the best one.

What a wonderful idea. We have to file this away for future use. I believe it would be a great project for
some groups here in this rural area.

I can see it now. A scarecrow in every garden this summer and each made by some boy or girl scout, or perhaps as a 4-H fundraiser at the county fair.

I looked at your photos of the scarecrows that you posted after this post. Wow! What a fun festival! Never thought I'd see something like this. By the way, thanks for visiting my RT. Enjoy the day.

Scare crow festivals are loved by all the people of Australia. There is a lot of fun and entertainment in these festivals. At Mount Tambourine this festival is going to take place on 28 October.
