AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Autumn Reverie

Mag 35 ~ Image by Willow

Like mixing a palette of dry ochrey wines
Like brushing a canvas with transient light
Like letting a painting become
A fall of leafy colour

Like mixing a palette of bright summer memories
Like brushing sands with transient footprints

Like letting a reality become
A dream of blue skies and blue seas
And blue strings on
The wind

The fall palette is one of my favorites, the oranges, deep reds, brilliant yellows. A vibrant take on the prompt, well done!
