Before I started blogging I had never heard about a Kookaburra ! Then I saw it on an Australian blog and heard its laughing. Since then it is my favourite bird and I let it laugh to many of my friends, who couldn't believe that it was a bird !

Never seen a kookaburra but it must be one of the most famous bird sounds. It must be amazing to actually hear its jaunty song.
Kookaburra lives in the old gum tree - learned that as a child decades ago.
