AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Hello old friend...at least we meet on the SSS these days.Life has taken us to busy corridors, but my shadows always give me to pause for the weekend...I love the sound of the vale of shadows, so exotic, as your beautiful Australia in summer.

Cool this morning, 40 something, I'd much prefer the 80's, but it is what it is and we've lucked out so far with the extreme weather...keepin' fingers and toes crossed that we'll have a mild winter, though it never fails to flourish and my trusty wool poncho is always at my side this time of year...now I know why old women always wore shawls...cause it was darn warm and cozy!

Off to work...like I ever really stop, but when you love what you do, it's never a chore...it's just a day in the life alive...mmmmm yummy!!!

See ya next time sweet bud, hope all is well with you, enjoy the sun.

Thinking of WARM hugs!

How you take such consistently beautiful images is a beyond me. This one is just wonderful.

The blend of lighting is so good here. The shadows mute but not the shiny jar on the sill. The sun causes the shade and adds the sheen to the glass that the shadow cannot overpower. Beautiful shade to the eye...
