Hello old friend, been a while indeed. Our lives just get more complicated, especially right now as we struggle with this crazy economy. It was crazy good in the shop yesterday. I monitor the little people not the wall street crooks, what they buy is the lifeblood to a small biz. I see a diet in America and I see it as a good thing...do we really need so much...

It's the simple shadow of a feather or a dead flower head and a ladybug beetle that stirs my heart these days. What a wonderful shadowcast you've captured for us...I wonder what exotic creature from your world it is.

When we think of Thanksgiving here in the states, it's strange to think that it really holds no meaning for you down under, 'cept for the fact that we are all thankful for something in some way in our short lives. Your holidays are so different from ours...it is a huge world of many souls, all held together by one great big blue ball...as you see, I still lament for summer, such a magical time we all long for.

Still lucking out with warmer than usual weather, no snowfalls...but we hold our breath...it's coming...

Have a wonderful Sunday, don't work too hard...go breath in the ocean for me!

...and lots of hugs from the states...s

What a gorgeous capture, Gemma! So fragile looking! And I always love your words! Really lovely post!

Enjoy your weekend -- or what's left of it!

This feather makes for a fine shadow. The shape allows us to use our imagination: it could be the teeth of a saw, maybe magnified field grasses or even a zebra's stripes. A stunning view, and lovely indeed!

Ooo ... what a gorgeous image. It's almost as if the feather's transparent. You certainly have the artist's eye. Have a great Sunday.
