It looks like a storm is brewing. Like the build up of the fat clouds.
I do love your poetic words about summer I can relate to the clinking of ice!
WOW! Imposing clouds! Beautiful series.
Very interesting and beautiful photos. The shapes of those clouds are really unusual and extraordinary.
Thank you for sharing and have a nice weekend!
Beautiful clouds...but I was hoping for some summer sunshine to warm me up. LOL
Only kidding you, Gemma. The photos are gorgeous. ;-)
A parade of grave ancestors in the clouds. Aloha, Gemma!
Wonderfully dramatic clouds; did you get rain? You had fascinating skies to watch.
Stupendous and impressive clouds!
Happy Sky Watch.
You do such a great job with photography!
What kind of camera do you have? My kids are buying me a better one for my 60th birthday and I can't wait.
As always, I really enjoy visiting here to read your words as well as look at your beautiful skies!
Great posts - the clouds come alive in your photos.
there is something about the clouds that always make us feel "strange".

Gemma, until I saw the last one I thought they had been caught on that 'mountain.' :-)
You found some pretty clouds, thank you for saving them for me. My clouds aren't that pretty (my sky is pretty).
Oh yes, I started on your prompt for OSI. I have a blog to post that I 'threw together.'
If I have the time I will refine it or write a real poem. We will see.
It is a nice prompt, I am sure you know the title is five syllables. I only first lined it once.
..
Those huge puffy clouds floating lightly and moving graciously must be quite a sight :)
Have a good weekend Gemma :)
an awesome series of cloud shots...enjoyed.
They sure look like storms on the horizon...clouds billowing and filling with moisture, ready to rain on your parade. Dont' ya just hate to think of summers end.
I have tried to train myself through the years not to dwell on each passing day's demise, but to enjoy each in it's natural progression. It's helped lengthen my summers and shorten my winters.
Seeing the beauty in each season and not having to stuggle to work each day in the snow and ice sure helped though...however, the frozen pipes SUCKED...reguardless of my thought process...HA!
Have a great weekend, see ya at SSS...
Hugs...s
Those clouds are so light and fluffy like cotton wool balls.
It's always fascinating to see those big clouds move and grow.
You've made some wonderful shots of it. Thanks for sharing them!
Wonderful serie, Gemma. Clouds look like the white shadow of those trees. Nature creates such grandiose sights.
Great shots as always!
