Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia tends to be a holiday playground. Campers, complete with tents, boats and jet skis, are a feature of January summer holidays. They literally pack the Port Phillip Bay coastline of the normally quiet beachside villages of Rosebud, McCrae and Dromana. Some have been doing this summer holiday trek for years and enjoy meeting up with familiar holiday faces.
This photo and following ones are taken early morning around the McCrae beach area.

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ It is amazing what people bring for camping. Here is a tablecloth and centre piece bowl of flowers. I also saw an orange velvet two-seater lounge chair and a canary in a small cage. I would have loved shots of these, but people were close around in pyjamas and dressing gowns.

Great Post, It's funny watching people bringing all of their personalized attachments into Nature. Nicely Documented.

I think tablecloths and fresh flowers for camping is a splendid idea! Nice post.

Great place for holidays. Excellent post and photos.
I can never understand why people who live fence to fene in tbe 'burbs go camping at even closer contact and hearing distnce to their neighbours. Are they afraid o open speaces? Do they need the noise of other humans to be able to sleep? It is a conundrum.
Great shots Gemma, pity about the canary!
Wow! And I thought Americans took camping to the extreme. Looks like 4th of July.
The beaches and campgrounds near you really bustle with activity in summer!
