Odd Shot Monday prompt

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ A little closer
~
Once upon a time
In the very recent past
A man decided to build his own
Cave of wonders
Right next door to
A dentist
At Red Hill
~
He even placed a rustic bench
Right outside his garden
So anyone
Who feels so inclined
Can sit away time
In the shade of
An old old gum tree
And admire
The orchard across the road or
Simply toss thoughts into
Passing traffic
~
From this cave
He entertained or
Regularly tampered with
His wayward air conditioner
And even painted away his days with
Large
Bright
Quirky shapes and colours ~
Often
His front verandah
Shouted with
Large
Stroppy
Canvases to
Anyone who
Chose to
Listen
Watch
Smile and
Walk
Bemusedly on
~
But there came a day
(In fact
Just the other day)
In early Spring
When mere canvas colour was
Simply
Not enough to
Celebrate
Being alive
~
So
To a huge wash of brightest blue
Festively filled with
Zany happy birds
He added
(In the foreground)
A bicycle
Ridden by
A family of
White
Stuffed
Scarecrow figures with
Jaunty
White hats
Big blotted rosy cheeks
Red smiles
And a royal wave of
Spring
Wild
Mad
Infectious
Happiness
~
P.S. Great anaesthetic before visiting the dentist!

madness is always infectious! i love zany houses, but people dont tend to do crazy things to their houses where i live
I do not why, but sometimes "things happened" uncontrolled.
I read this post and your profile---
some tears dropped.
Why?
Well, It has something with the way you write.
About things that is very far away from where we live. Fabulous to learn without filtered by regular medias.
My mother language is not English, but I try my best to communicate.
More comments to come.

San Quirico d’Orcia - It's very quaint, pretty - I've visited a couple of times. :)
I love the quirky humour. More of this in the world please. Well spotted.

It's easy to forget that it's Spring "Down-Under"
Nice pictures
Great series of photos, Gemma! The scarecrow figures on the bike are so creative, as is your story!
A pleasant bit of levity before visiting the dentist!
