Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Many llamas/alpacas watching me! (Yes! They are actually alpacas. But not all are short hairs like these! Some alpacas have very long hair. There are 2 major alpaca farms ~ that I know of ~ on the Mornington Peninsula. This farm (Alpacas on the Hill) at Red Hill is quite a large farm on rolling hillside with distant views to Westernport Bay. Technically, there is a difference between llamas and alpacas. For starters, llamas rarely weigh less than 110kg while alpacas rarely weight over 100kg. More information on the differences can be found here. )

Hehe! Love your haiku. So funny at cuddly-sounding. Man, I want to pet one now... :)
This is a precious post! Some of these look like alpacas, are they? I only wonder because i used to watch McLeod's daughters. Hee!
Now that's exquisite!
T'll try to distingguish one from other. The last ones I've seen were in Sweden near the Citadell of Landskrona.
who would have thought llamas would be so cute!
They sure are cute.
They are such lovely animals. I always want to pet them and hug them. Beautiful pictures.
I think these are some of the neatest critters ever. Great shots!
I think their necks were meant to be hugged and cuddled. They are so fuzzy and there's plenty to hug there. Are they friendly like that - would they tolerate huggings?

I like to learn something new and here I have. Lve the look to camera they are doing.
Lovely pics of the alpacas.
oooh... they all look so cutely haughty!!
I am puzzled, I thought I had visited yesterday - I must be doing too much to keep track.
They are very appealing - I wonder if they are as mad as goats or as dim as sheep. They might even be a sweet as donkeys.
Gemma: Neat photos, they are such an interesting animal.
I love these critters! Great photos.
Here in the US we are celebrating National Alpaca Farm Days. This weekend area farms are having open houses. They have only been in the US about 25 years.
Fantastic photos. These guys are so sweet looking.
