3WW prompt #CII ~ awry + blame + hiatus
~
The spirits of a great
Australian sculptor are
Crumbling
Slipping
Slowly from
Their bed in
A rock wall ~
It is as if
Now
Is simply
A brief hiatus
Between
What was and
What will surely be
~
Perhaps
Being open to
The wild elements
On a mountain
High above the sea
Spins
Human efforts
Awry and
Art becomes
Nature's art
~
Who is to blame?
Careless weather or
Careless humanity?
~

a natural evolution.. even with art such as this should be one of its most endearing qualities i would be live,, as it needs to be savored at every point in the journey.....
I wish that nature could distinguish rock art/ sculptures while breezing through so it wouldn't destroy it but, alas, it doesn't happen that way. Nor do people try to salvage something as beautiful as this. Why? I don't understand. I guess it's like Paisley said we must savor every moment we can, while we can. Nice job. Have a nice day.
I also commented on your Lipstick God and it was really good. I enjoyed reading both your poems today. Well done my friend.
Those are beautiful pictures. I think no matter how permanent we try to make things, nature will always wear it away in the end.
That is sad, Gemma. Here, moth and rust do corrupt . . .
Is corruption not just part of the recreative process? Nice work, anyway.
Sad isn't it, nature's destruction? I spent part of the weekend at one of my favorite national parks, and it was truly sad for me to see some of the erosion that has taken place in the four years since I was last there. It's natural, it happens... but it still saddens me.

Beautiful writing.
Yes, beautiful writing.

Lovely writing...it is sad that everything has a shelf life. Great photos, too!
fascinating. :) nice question at the end.
Such beautiful creations, Gemma, in oh so odd a place. But I would say, the blemishes that time, and weather, and human carelessness left on this work of arts gave it an even more priceless aesthetic value. Like scars, they are stars that mark this pieces to shine even more.
Your poem added beauty to this.
That is how you added your mark to them.
I wish you well.

Please read my new post:
"Notice Me"
Beauty does not diminish with age, it just transforms to an alter image of what must have been and is soon to be...beautiful words and art.
