AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Ruby Drums

A drummer adding some colour to the Mornington markets held every Wednesday along the main street.
This market has been running for 30 years.

Drumming up colour
And textures of the streetscape
Like throbbing rhythms

It is always enjoyable to shop where street performers are around to add the right musical ambience to the retailers. Makes the day even more fun...

Really a fun, fun image. I can nearly hear the rhythmic beat as he taps while we walk by. 30 years for the market's existence? That's awesome.
