Beware Lightning!

I have not seen a sign like this before.
It is on the pillars of a tall tower structure at Cranbourne Botanical Gardens.
At the top of the tower you get views to the Dandenong Mountains and the valleys in between.

These are the stairs to the look out.
I did not climb the stairs.
I could appreciate the view from below.

Beware climbing heights
Hazard of a stunning view
Some stunning lightning

I think I would have stayed off the stairs, too!! Great shots for the day, Gemma, hope you enjoyed the view from where you were! And I hope your week is going well! Enjoy!

I enjoyed this. It reminded of of a sign I saw on a balcony which warned: Caution: this balcony is not on ground level. Nice of them to warn bemused near sighted folks like me, who might otherwise step off into the air:)

I'd tell you this much; if there was lightening - I'd get the hell out of Dodge as they say in the States!

I wouldn't need to be told to leave if the lightning began!

hmm, no lightning rod?
I would be wary around any forested area in a thunderstorm.

Well, I'm sufficiently warned. I guess I won't be going to this outlook!

Good thing were was a clear sky when you were taking these pictures. Lightening can just ruin your day.

Good advice and if I'm ever there during a thunderstorm I'll head for safe cover. :) I like the shot of the stairway, shadows and all.

Good warning sign! I'm terrified of lightnings.

forget lightning, the stairs would do me in

That must be a pretty tall lookout. I would definitely be looking for better shelter if there were a storm approaching.
