Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ A window in Dromana's St Mark's church, Mornington Peninsula
Construction of the Neo-gothic-style St Mark's Anglican Church was commenced in 1892 and the first service was held in the church in April 1893. The church was constructed using rusticated limestone with red brick quoins and features rendered parapets at the gable end. St Mark's is the Mornington Peninsula's third oldest Anglican stone church and is only pre-dated by St John's in Sorrento (1874) and St Andrew's in Rye (1882). - Extract from Heritage Australia

It's a lovely window, it's just a shame they feel they need to hang that wire netting across it!
I love anything that's made of brick or accented with brick. I am curious as to what the whole church looks like.
Enjoy the weekend, happy valentines' and happy chinese new year :D
Beautiful windows and details:-)
Have a great evening!
The life of the limestone and shades of red in the brick make a wonderful alliance.
I can only guess how the glass mosaic window look like from within.
The thin bars protecting the piece of art add depth and a new dimension to your picture. Like it.
love this imagine. x also thanks for visiting my red valentine's story..xlynda

I love brick
and brick into stone is lovely
I guess the mesh protects the old glass
your photo managed to capture the beauty of the glass design while downplaying the mesh
so well done!
Now you've got me very curious to see what that window looks like from the inside with the sun shining through the stained glass! Wonderful brickwork around the window's edge too.
