Comment: In the Southern Hemisphere, February is the month of hearts and flowers, dancing dolphins in fading summer waters, candles, and a memory of summer play. It is a time to celebrate the bond of love that asks no questions and needs no answers. It simply is.

I WALK IN YOUR FOOTPRINTS
I feel what you know
And you know what I feel
We love from the depths
Of our hearts
~
I see with your eyes
You see with mine
We sing in the beauty
Of our minds
~
I walk in your footprints
You walk in mine
We are happy in the souls
Of our shoes

Oh, I do love this :)
I'm going to read it as a bedtime poem for my own true (doggy) love.
(It would work for my human love too ;)
Very nice poetic response to this photo.
Lovely. (And Zorro and Miss Cleo agree).
Will be linked shortly.
I love this, especially the line: "We are happy in the souls / Of our shoes", which can be a play on words with "soles / Of our shoes". I don't know if you did that intentionally, but that's what I had in mind at first.
Anyway, your poem matched the photo. Now I really, really miss having a dog!! LOL. Thanks for sharing! :)
i love the connection and loving bond felt in you poem. quite lovely. thank you....
that was so beautiful,, and so much of what i too see in this photo.....
That was beautiful. I never thought about interpreting it as a seeing eye dog!
