Writer's Island 2010 ~ Prompt #14 ~ The Journey
~
If a road plains gently
Straight and clear
Before it climbs
(Like psyching up the strength to struggle)
Is it possible that there may be
Some diversion
To fragment the climb
Some resting place
Some comic relief
To cocoon courage
To weigh memories and
Plan new ones
(Attempting to avoid the potholes)
Or
Does the road wind uphill all the way
Like a relentless
Taskmaster
Driving
Sheep
Like the journey of
Programmed destiny
