Washing Shadows

Bold washing shadows attracted my attention.
But it was not till I uploaded this photo that I noticed the little kookaburra at the top looking down.

Laundry hung outdoors to dry is a rare sight these days. The bold shadows make the laundry even more noticeable.

What a lovely treat and surprise! There is something very comforting to me to see laundry on the line drying. Perhaps because it is such a strong childhood memory-a connection to what home is.

The shadows are neat . I fear for the laundry a little with that Kookaburra sitting right above it though ;>)

gemma, I just noticed the wonderful cut line under your blog title...measuring out your life with haiku and your camera filming your soul...so lovely, so perfectly descriptive of you.

Although the shadow is eye catching, the smell of fresh laundry fills the senses!...:)JP

That is a great shot! I didn't notice the bird either, until you mentioned it.
