I knew it was different
I knew the air tingled with
Alternative light
Loud silence
I knew that the Mayans

Maybe terminal moment
Could it be now
I am by the sea
Waves are frozen in
A stranglehold

My safety senses warn
I should not be here
But my rebellious adrenalin
My aphrodisiac
Pulses to the beat of
Yearning
Desperate
Craving

You got me with the picture. Wow, what a lusty sea!
Your poem intrigues me. I hope that moment is not now and we continue on forever. Doubt lingers, though.
Thanks for bringing the ocean to me.
I love it when the air "tingles with alternative light" -- here in the mountains it often happens just before sunset, after a rain, when the sunlight slips in under a gray cloud cover. Nice work!
rebellious adrenalin - what a lovely aphrodisiac that can be - a wonderful read.

Living on the edge, aren't you? What a strange and alluring aphrodisiac...standing on the edge of something dangerous. And, you make end times and grappling with time frames seem sensuous. Well done.

Going where the urge takes you creates a lovely tension. Anticipation.
