We are who we are
Reflecting and drinking beauty
Shadows behind us

NOTE: This post is part of a pair.
It complements my yesterday's post of Who Am I?
The personas in both posts are seagulls with shadows and reflections.

The shadows are impressive. They seem more massive than the birds themselves. The 'real' two look fine, their legs as shadows barely able to hold the shadow up. Lovely reflections, these look somewhat regal as they stand in the pool...
You achieved double duty this time! Terrific shadows AND reflections! I love it! And your words are always beautiful and meaningful. Wishing you all good things for to new year, Gemma, love, laughter, good health and a pocketful of coins! Enjoy!

I love how the one seagull is drinking. They're so calm and at ease with their picture being taken. Happy New Year!
Yes, dear friend, I am floating...and your picture just makes me want to sink my toes into the warm sands of summer...I'll be right there(I wish)!!!
It has been crazy getting this store up and running, but doing what you love is always a challenge. But all of the dealers are wonderful and things have been moving along smoothly...AND...our first day was a huge success!!! So we are definitely encouraged!
Though I won't be able to slow down much yet, as all of my soaps in the shops have nearly sold out, so I need to start making again, however, I love to do it and I get to do it out of my home, so no big deal...plenty of time to wander my grounds a take shadow shots of Buddha.
But boy has it been cold, barely above 0...minus 16 tonight, everything pops when you walk on it. When I was feeding the wild birds this morning, walking on the deck made shotgun like pops, scaring all the birds out of the trees...now that's cold...so I will be dreaming of your seagulls after my electric blanket warms my frozen toes...have a wonderful summer dear friend...thinkin' of ya!!!
Happy, happy hugs and blessings!
s
beautiful shadow shot.
MY SSS post. Have a great weekend!
Sweet wise birds are seagulls! I liked the other photo also. The shadow in that one is a sideways heart shape!
Great seagulls shadows.
Hi!
Great shots! I wonder why shadows are always bigger than the object you are shooting. Just a thought! Have a great day!
